1. The dour and strict housekeeper in the Heidi novels (1880) by the Swiss writer Johanna Spyri. The characters became famous in Spain through a TV series of the same title.

2. José Bódalo Zúffoli (1916-1985), acclaimed Argentinian film and television actor and director who made his career in Spain.

3. Historia del famoso predicador Fray Gerundio de Campazas (1758, 1768), by José Francisco de Isla (1703-1781).
